Words from the front…

  So I follow DX euromax on Facebook, that’s a sort of nice channel with stories from Germany and Europe. It’s good and informative.  They had an article about Prince William on about criticising Elon and Bezos for their space effort. He said just concentrate on cleaning up earth. I’m not saying he’s wrong but he ain’t right either!  I said we should forge forward with space science: there’s too many people on earth and we need to get off planet or face extinction! Oh god, the crazies started in on me, Americans of course, ranting on about ruining other planets and there fucking crazy religious bullshit. They just want us all to be anti vaxxers and die because that’s the right wing religious way .. Facebook is terrible because it lets these fucking mental cases a platform to blather their poison to the world and make everyone as miserable as they are! Spoiling the world and cancelling any chance of  decent discussion.

  I can’t describe how I feel about the shit poor fly by night online estate agents called “Purple Bricks” . More like ‘PurpleDicks’ ! They send you copious  emails and phone messages and texts, each from a different person, none of who, have read the previous ones notes, with contradictory garbage. None of them know what they are doing! And they use this ridiculous outsourced cowboy operation called ‘credas’: another bunch of utter retarded cretins, in the same genre as PB. They have made our life and utter misery. Mum is 90, and doesn’t have a driving licence or passport or current photo ID. So, they make it as difficult as humanly possible to obstruct and annoy.  Even when you HAVE sent everything they ask for, and approve it, they then contradict themselves and fuck it up!  The estate agent here in Dorset failed to send on the memorandum of sale to me: the solicitor messed us about dithering whether he could or couldn’t handle the conveyancing inWales.   We are on our way back from town after after a nice coffee and cakes today. Town was busy and it’s a showery. Along Marine drive, the road back into Rhos, there’s something going on, traffic stopped on either side, which is unusual. We see a few folk gathered round an elderly lady on the pavement. I stop to see if I can help, and she flat on her back, blood all over head and face. She tells me her name is Pat, and she’s down from Preston with friends for the weekend. “Pat” has a good collection of skull lacerations, and is bleeding freely, but doesn’t seem to have any breaks or concussion. The house owner brings me some towels and we get her on a chair and apply pressure to the wounds. A passer by is calling the ambulance, he says they want to speak to me. I give them a situation report, and I ask how long they will be. “We can’t say”…. No, seriously!  This is a joke, I’m supposed to sit here with this elderly lady and her 3 friends and wait on the pavement for hours? I have...

  So far, we still wait: mum was supposed to have arrived in her new flat now. But no, the conveyancing solicitor says yet another 6-12 weeks! The buyers are naturally disappointed, but up to now, the estate agent was planning for 3 months for the searches from West Dorset Council anyway.  But the estate agent then tells me the buyers mortgage company have accepted the search liability insurance, and can they move next week!  Well no, not now…

  I’m fed up with all these mental case anti vaxxer lunatics: how many more deaths must there be to satisfy their craziness!  The evidence is all there, not made up in kind of Trumpian conspiracy!  I have lost 3 paying patients to Covid so far, and who knows how many just have been to scared to call for fear of asking someone into their home?  I’ve taken medication all my life, some of it quite nasty, but necessary! All this hype about side effects is just that: one in a million. It’s a better risk than actually catching it !

  I don’t really think that HMG is fully responsible for the current fuel delivery crisis.  We are a market economy, employers are responsible for their employees. If they don’t look after them, they leave!  Same as the NHS, private health care. That’s why there are huge bills for agency staff in health care. But, just like HGV drivers from our country, no one gives them any credence, and now we suffer the result.  Yes, the government should have recognised this and done, well, what? I don’t know.  Surely the union’s should be more proactive, instead of just taking their payments every month? Why don’t we hear their voice raised ? Our country has lost the ‘balance’ needed to maintain a good working environment for too many working people. Too much power over employees, not enough benefits of working.   So I’m starting this 16/8 regime: you can only eat in an 8 hour slot of the day.  I try and get out for run on Saturday, but I’m not eating until after 12.00. I’m busy doing stuff, so I don’t get out until after 1.00. I start off ok, get up into Penrhyn Bay at about 5 kilometres. Then I start to feel very tired. I can barely run anywhere! My feet are like lead, I have to stop running and just walk. I can think why, I feel a bit light headed. Then! Then I realise, I am running on empty! Literally! A salutary lesson, never run 🏃‍♀️ on an empty stomach…..
